“Wic” in Old English means “to go home.” Our Bailiwick is our home, our sphere of operations, you might say. And, yes, our last name is Gurnsey! We are a large Idaho family with eight homeschooled children living in the country. We love living life together and we love our Dachshunds!
We have fallen in love with the English Cream Dachshunds because of their very loving and calm personalities. These little dogs are thrilled to be with their family whether it is sitting and relaxing or just out taking a walk.
Our desire is to breed these special Dachshunds to be enjoyed and loved by their new families. We selectively raise only the finest English Cream Dachshunds who have not only excellent bloodlines with many AKC champions and direct lines back to England, but they also have sweetest of temperaments.
We are not a kennel. The puppies raised here at the Bailiwick are raised with our children and in our home. They also have a wonderful indoor and outdoor activity area that is well suited for all seasons of play.
Your puppy will come to your home fully socialized and ready to bond with you. First vaccinations, worming, and a full vet health check will be included in the price of your puppy to ensure your puppy has a great start with its new family.
The price of your puppy is for a limited AKC registration only. You will receive the limited AKC registration number after you provide proof of spay or neuter from your veterinarian to us per our contract that you sign.

After the arrival of the puppies, we will notify those on the waiting list by means of an email or text. We will then accept deposits on puppies to hold the puppy of your choice for your family until puppy is ready to come go home at 8 weeks old.
We will ask you to sign a puppy contract and full payment of cash is due at the time of puppy pickup.
